Hi Bill, I enjoyed your site the info on sweeter tomatoes was very informative. I am growing some new varieties of tomatoes this year. I have German Queen and Cherokee Black. The gardener that shared the Cherokee Black tomato plant told me that it is a ugly ugly fruit but she promised me the fruit is really good. I will let you know . I will save some of the seeds to share.

A very nice website…Your knowledge about plants is impressive. If you have a moment, I do wonder if you may be able to help me with a bit of a quandary. I have a tiny palm tree in a pot, but I lost the label that it came with so I no longer know what species it is exactly and how to best care for it. I’ve spent hours online trying to find it but to no avail. If I email you a photo, do you think you would be able to identify it for me? Again — if you have time and interested, your help would be most appreciated…

I have two questions I hope you can help me with. First is about holly hocks and getting rid of a bug of some kine that destroys the buds as they begin to be ready to open.
The second is about a perrenial called Crocosmia. I have great plants and limited blooming. I want to know what to put on them to encourage more blooming.
